Results of the Association of Ukrainian Banks for July 2025

On a monthly basis, we inform the management of Ukrainian banks about the activities of the Association of Ukrainian Banks (hereinafter referred to as the Association or AUB).

In July 2025, the Association took the following steps/measures to address pressing issues related to the development and protection of the financial sector's interests:

  • Proposals were sent to the National Bank of Ukraine regarding draft regulatory acts of the NBU No. 199 and No. 185.
  • Clarifications were received from the regulator regarding the practical application by authorized institutions of the provisions of Resolution No. 18 when conducting transactions on their clients' accounts.
  • A response was received from the National Bank of Ukraine to a letter regarding the accounting treatment of transactions related to the implementation of the state mortgage lending program.
  • A response was received from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine to an appeal regarding proposals for legislative regulation of the provision of state guarantees for the obligations of PJSC Export Credit Agency.
  • A response was received from the National Bank of Ukraine to an appeal regarding the assessment of the financial condition of a legal entity that is a participant in a financial institution.

Participation in thematic events

  • On July 3, the AUB organized a meeting between representatives of the financial sector and the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitaliy Koval.

  • On July 10, the Association joined the 62nd meeting of associate members of the European Banking Federation (EBF).

  • On July 11, the Banking Day in London conference was held with the Association's partnership.

  • On July 17, a meeting of the AUB working group on cooperation with MFIs for MSMEs was held.

  • On July 22, the Association, together with System of Environmental Data LLC, held a webinar with a presentation of the information and analytical platform “ESG profile of an enterprise in the SaveEcoBot system.”

  • On July 24, a meeting of the AUB Committee on Small and Medium Business Development was held.

  • On July 24, the Association held a webinar on “Financial Monitoring 2.0: How to Manage Risks Without Losing Business.”

  • On July 24, the AUB, together with WWF, organized a workshop on “Criteria, principles, and tools for green and sustainable financing and their alignment with the EU taxonomy in Ukraine.”

  • On July 25–26, the Association, together with SB-Club, held Finance Security Camp 2025, an intensive two-day training course aimed at security service managers of financial institutions.

  • On July 29, the first meeting of the AUB Committee of Non-Bank Participants in the Payment Market took place.

Media coverage of AUB activities

In July, the Association actively covered its activities in leading national media outlets. AUB representatives participated in broadcasts on various television channels and information platforms.

  • AUB Vice President Petro Pekur spoke at the International Conference on the Recovery of Ukraine (URC2025), held in Rome.

  • First Vice President of the Association, Vitaliy Romanchukevich, spoke live on Yedyny Novyny about food inflation, changes in money transfer rules, and the dollar and euro exchange rates.

  • First Vice President of the AUB, Vitaliy Romanchukevich, commented on Ukrainian Radio on the new Regulation on the implementation of open banking approved by the National Bank of Ukraine, which will come into force on August 1, 2025.

  • First Vice President of the Association, Vitaliy Romanchukevich, commented on inflation and the methods used by the National Bank of Ukraine to prevent its growth on Inter TV channel.

The mission of the Association of Ukrainian Banks is to support the development of the national banking system. The AUB cooperates with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on improving the legislation governing banking activities, and interacts with the National Bank of Ukraine on regulatory support for the functioning of banks and non-bank financial institutions. The CBA takes care of the professional development of bank employees, expands international relations with associations and banking institutions of other countries.
