The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has announced the start of testing the “Bank and Ukrposhta e-Cabinet” on the Social Web Portal of Electronic Services. Banking institutions and Ukrposhta have joined the process, which is an important step in reforming the system of social benefits.
On 16 October, the international conference ‘DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES and SMART BANKING for financial stability’ brought together representatives of the banking, insurance, IT and fintech sectors. The event was organised by the International Financial Club ‘BANKIR’. The event drew considerable attention to the implementation of innovations to ensure financial stability. The Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) was a media partner of the conference.
The conference was opened by Zhanna Golik, CEO of BANKIR International Financial Club. In her speech, she stressed the importance of discussing modern digital solutions to strengthen the banking system and ensure its stability in the face of challenges.
From Brussels, Andriy Dubas, President of the AUB, welcomed the participants. He emphasised that the latest technologies and smart banking are key to the future of the Ukrainian banking sector. According to him, the Association actively supports the introduction of innovations that will contribute to the sustainability of the financial system and the expansion of digital opportunities.
Vitaliy Romanchukevych, First Vice President of the AUB, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Europrombank, moderated the first block of discussions dedicated to risk management in payment systems, CRM, ERP and EDO technologies, Digital onboarding for legal entities, as well as new regulatory requirements for IT infrastructure. The participants paid special attention to the discussion of digital mortgages - the eHouse programme and the RSA solution.
As part of this panel, Sergiy Savchuk, Director of the Department of Methodology for Regulation of Non-Banking Financial Institutions at the NBU, also made a presentation. During his report, Sergiy Savchuk announced that Supervisory Boards will soon be established in financial institutions providing payment services.
Therefore, in his speech, Vitaliy Romanchukevych emphasised the importance of improving the effectiveness of corporate governance in the banking and financial sector. He presented the project of the Association of Ukrainian Banks ‘Professional Development Programme for Board Members in the Financial and Banking Sector’.
This initiative is aimed at improving competencies in corporate governance, which is important for strengthening the sustainability of banking institutions.
The conference was a platform for discussing advanced digital solutions aimed at increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the Ukrainian banking sector.
