About the project:

The Da Vinci documentary tells the story of the life and heroic deeds of Dmytro Kotsiubailo, a Ukrainian volunteer, commander of the Da Vinci Wolves battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who died on March 7, 2023, in the battle for Bakhmut.

The Association of Ukrainian Banks is convinced that it is important to honor and remember the deeds of those who gave their lives to protect Ukraine. The story of Dmytro Kotsiubailo is a story of true courage, dedication and patriotism. The Da Vinci movie gives people from all over Ukraine and the world the opportunity to get to know this incredible man and his feat.

AUB became a partner of the project, securing charitable support from 20 financial institutions. This assistance made it possible to complete the shooting of the film and organise its screenings throughout Ukraine and abroad. Project budget: UAH 1 570 000.

On 2 April, a pre-premiere screening of the film took place in Kyiv.

Unique features of the film:

  • The film uses unique footage from the video archive of Dmytro Kotsiubaylo. Modern artificial intelligence technologies made it possible to create live animated scenes based on Dmytro Kotsiubaylo's unique drawings.
  • Dmytro's mother Oksana Kotsiubailo, close friend Alina Mykhailova, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (2021-2024), and his comrades from the Da Vinci Wolves battalion took part in the filming.

The mission of the Association of Ukrainian Banks is to support the development of the national banking system. The AUB cooperates with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on improving the legislation governing banking activities, and interacts with the National Bank of Ukraine on regulatory support for the functioning of banks and non-bank financial institutions.
