Results of the Association of Ukrainian Banks for December 2025

On a monthly basis, we inform the management of Ukrainian banks and non-bank financial institutions about the activities of the Association of Ukrainian Banks (hereinafter referred to as the Association or AUB).
In December 2025, the Association took the following steps/measures to address pressing issues related to the development and protection of the financial sector's interests:
The Association sent letters:
Regarding the practical implementation of the requirements of Order No. 322 of the Ministry of Finance.
Letter to the NBU Regarding the application of the requirements of Articles 20–21 on threshold values.
Appeal to the NBU Regarding clarification of the requirements for irrevocable financial assistance for inclusion in Tier 1 capital.
Letter to the NBU regarding the organization of a working meeting to discuss the provisions of Resolution No. 64.
Invitation to participate in the global study AI in Financial Services 2030.
Appeal to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine regarding the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “Some issues of restricting access to public electronic registers.”
Regarding the submission of proposals to Resolution No. 172 of the NBU Board on the use of qualified electronic signatures.
A joint appeal was sent to the NBU regarding the postponement of the deadline for bringing regulatory capital into line.
Participation in thematic events
On December 4, the 20th (extraordinary) Congress of the Association of Ukrainian Banks was held in Kyiv. 20th Congress of AUB participants
On December 4, the 35th anniversary of the Association of Ukrainian Banks was celebrated.
On December 9, 2025, the Association, together with Crypto Intelligence, organized a webinar on “Typical schemes for using crypto assets to finance terrorist activities,” which examined current examples of use and rather sensitive topics.
On December 11, 2025, the Association broadcast on the Zoom platform a recording of a webinar on the topic: “Indicators of suspicious participants and financial transactions. Tools, technologies, open resources,” which was conducted by Maksym Vasyuk on November 25, 2025.
On December 17, 2025, the Association rebroadcast on the Zoom platform, continuing the demonstration of the recording of the webinar on the topic: “Indicators of suspicious participants and financial transactions. Tools, technologies, open resources.”
On December 19, the President of the AUB participated in the monthly working meeting of the NBU.
On December 22, the AUB signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with ADER HABER Government Affairs.
On December 24, 2025, a webinar was held on the topic: “AML/CFT 2025: results of the year, evolution of schemes, and typological studies as a roadmap for proactive financial monitoring.”

The mission of the Association of Ukrainian Banks is to support the development of the national banking system. The AUB cooperates with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on improving the legislation governing banking activities, and interacts with the National Bank of Ukraine on regulatory support for the functioning of banks and non-bank financial institutions. The CBA takes care of the professional development of bank employees, expands international relations with associations and banking institutions of other countries.
