The Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) played an important role in launching this project by ensuring that its members were involved in testing the electronic service.
"Together with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Association of Ukrainian Banks, we have implemented a project that simplifies the process of calculating and paying out financial assistance through a single social information system. In this process, the UBA ensured the participation of the maximum number of banks, which will contribute to the successful testing of the new electronic cabinet,” said Tetiana Kovach, UBA Chief of Staff.
The Electronic Bank Account project will allow banks involved in social benefit payments to simplify and automate data transfer and processing, which in turn will speed up the receipt of social benefits by citizens, according to the Ministry of Social Policy. Thanks to integration with the unified information system of the social sphere, social workers will be able to transmit payment information electronically, without the need to use physical media, which will significantly save time and effort.
In order to use the functionality of the Electronic Cabinet, bank employees must check the existence of an agreement with the State Enterprise “Information and Computer Center” of the Ministry of Social Policy, obtain official certificates of signature and encryption, and log in to the cabinet at https://elcab.ioc.gov.ua/welcome, choosing the role of “Bank Specialist”.
This new tool is part of the Ministry of Social Policy's strategy to improve citizens' access to social benefits, which is in line with the Ministry's priorities in the area of digitalization of public services.
