On October 25, 2025, the final session of the third edition of the Corporate Governance in Financial Institutions program took place, bringing together 35 representatives of banks, non-bank financial institutions, and insurance companies. The increase in the number of participants this year confirms the high level of interest in the topic of corporate governance and the demand for practical knowledge in this area. During six intensive training days, participants deepened their knowledge in the areas of corporate governance, risk management, compliance, anti-corruption practices, and studied the role of artificial intelligence in the financial sector.
Practical focus and modern challenges
The program was held in two stages — from October 16 to 18 and from October 23 to 25, 2025 — with the support of the Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB).
During six intensive training days, participants deepened their knowledge of corporate governance, risk management, compliance, anti-corruption practices, and the implementation of ESG approaches.
Special attention was paid to the ethical aspects of crisis management, the challenges of open banking, and the role of artificial intelligence in the financial sector. The program featured practical case studies from the banking environment, including the experience of transforming corporate values.

“We don't just teach — we bring together the real-world experience of financial institutions, regulatory requirements, and the day-to-day tasks of supervisory boards and management boards. That's why participants leave with ready-made solutions: from committee regulations to working risk and compliance dashboards.
We have created a space where supervisory boards, management boards, and functional managers gain not only knowledge but also specific management mechanisms — from committee work and remuneration policies to SREP/ICAAP/ILAAP control, open banking, ESG, and AI."

"Corporate governance is the foundation of the modern financial system. At the AUB, we systematically support the development of management competencies and create a platform where new ideas that change the industry are born. This issue has once again confirmed that the financial community is ready not only to learn but also to implement the best standards of transparency and accountability," emphasized Andriy Dubas.
Impressions of lecturers and participants
The program has once again proven its effectiveness as a practical educational format that combines theory, lively communication, exchange of experience, and work with real cases.

"I am very grateful to the Association of Ukrainian Banks for the opportunity to join this course for the third time. It is a truly useful format — not only because of the rich program, but also thanks to the lively dialogue with the audience. Informal interactions were valuable, as they allowed us to convey important ideas and exchange experiences in an intimate setting. I particularly remember the cases related to artificial intelligence, as well as the work in small groups, which helps to develop practical corporate governance skills and an understanding of teamwork. It was interesting, useful, and inspiring. I recommend everyone to join the next course."
Participants in AUB corporate courses note the high professional level of the instructors, the practical focus of the classes, and the atmosphere of open exchange of experience.
Many reviews focused on the topic of artificial intelligence, which became one of the most anticipated parts of the program.
Students emphasized that the training helped them not only gain new knowledge, but also find professional contacts, inspiration for new ideas, and tools for implementing modern management approaches.
The next intake is in the spring
A new professional development program for financial institution managers, “Corporate Governance in Financial Institutions,” will start in April 2026.
