We provide monthly updates on the activities of the Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB).
In June 2025, the Association took the following steps/measures to address pressing issues related to the development and protection of the financial sector's interests:
The Association sent a letter to the National Bank of Ukraine regarding the interpretation of the provisions of NBU Board Resolution No. 18.
The AUB sent an appeal to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine regarding support for the development of insurance of accounts receivable for exporters.
The Association sent a letter to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine regarding the legislative regulation of state guarantees for insurance obligations.
The AUB sent a letter to the National Bank of Ukraine regarding the revision of the current restriction on the ratio of obligations of the Export Credit Agency.
The Association sent proposals to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Financial Mechanisms for Stimulating Export Activity.”
Participation in thematic events
On June 4, a meeting of the AUB Committee on the Development of Non-Bank Lending was held.
On June 11, the Association and the Entrepreneurship Development Fund jointly held an event entitled “Building a Sustainable Future for Ukraine by Promoting Access to Finance for MSMEs.”
From June 16 to 20, 2025, the AUB, in cooperation with the Institute of Postgraduate Education of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, implemented a training course for teachers in the capital in the field of “Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy.”
On June 17, a memorandum was signed between the Association and the German government organization Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
On June 24, the President of the AUB took part in the presentation of the results of a nationwide survey on the awareness of financial services consumers about the deposit guarantee system, which was organized by the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals.
Media coverage of AUB activities
In June, the Association actively covered its activities in leading national media outlets. AUB representatives appeared on various television channels and news platforms.
The AUB President participated in the Yedyni Novyny telethon, where he commented on the reduction of limits, inflation, and exchange rates.
On a live broadcast on the Suspilne TV channel, the Association's President commented on the impact of the abolition of customs duties on Ukrainian steel on the Ukrainian economy, the exchange rate, the trade balance, and the prospects for Ukrainian exports to other countries.
On the program Money During War on the Espreso TV channel, the AUB president commented on an important and sensitive topic—lending to military personnel under martial law.
Live on Channel 5, the Association's president spoke about: “Loans for the military, innovations from ‘eOselya’ and 1 billion euros from russian assets.”
The president of the AUB spoke live on Channel One of Public Broadcasting about what affects prices and the hryvnia exchange rate.
Live on Radio Kyiv 98 FM, the president of the Association discussed the topic “Who will regulate the crypto market: the NSSMC, the NBU, or the Ministry of Digital Transformation?”
