Economic revival of Ukraine: Viktor Yushchenko proposed to create an expert platform
Creating a platform for discussing Ukraine's economic revival, supporting culture and strengthening cooperation with the NBU were among the issues discussed by Stanislav Arzhevitin, Chairman of the AUB Council, and Vitaliy Romanchukevych, First Vice President of the AUB, with Viktor Yushchenko, Chairman of the AUB's Higher Board. The meeting took place on August 1 on the territory of the museum complex, which is being developed by the third President of Ukraine.
During the meeting, the representatives of the Association of Ukrainian Banks briefed Viktor Yushchenko on the state of affairs in the banking system and the activities of the AUB in recent years. Particular attention was paid to the results of the last Congress of the Association, changes in the composition of the Board of the AUB and new plans for the future.
The meeting participants also discussed the issues of strengthening cooperation between the AUB and the NBU, in particular, holding joint events to discuss topical issues of the financial sector and banking system of Ukraine
An important topic of discussion was the creation of a permanent working platform for Ukraine's economic revival. Viktor Yushchenko, who initiated this initiative, proposed holding regular expert meetings every six months with representatives of economic institutions, academic institutions, financial, banking and business communities.
Stanislav Arzhevitin, Chairman of the UAB Council, noted that this initiative aims to promote the development of the country's economy through open dialogue and cooperation.

"We have decided that the Association of Ukrainian Banks will hold a meeting with the NBU and other state regulatory authorities, the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other leading expert organizations and research institutions to create a permanent working platform - a platform for discussing current issues related to the economic revival of Ukraine," said Stanislav Arzhevitin.
During the meeting, Viktor Yushchenko also familiarized the AUB representatives with his cultural project - a museum complex where the Taras Shevchenko house-museum has been restored based on the original sketches of the great poet. Taras Shevchenko's house was restored on the basis of five drawings and two sketches he created eight months before his death. Living in his own house was a long-held dream of the prominent Ukrainian poet, prose writer, thinker, and painter, which, unfortunately, never came true. The Taras Shevchenko House Museum is an important contribution to the preservation of Ukrainian cultural heritage.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation and implement joint projects aimed at reviving the economy and supporting cultural initiatives in Ukraine.
