ECA Presented a New Product at the IV International Export Forum Ukraine Goes Global
On September 24, Yevhenii Harbar, Member of the Management Board of the Export Credit Agency of Ukraine (ECA), took part in the IV International Export Forum Ukraine Goes Global.
Within the panel discussion “Moving Towards the EU: The Role of Regulatory Harmonization in Shaping Ukrainian Business for Global Markets”, participants discussed the challenges and opportunities of European integration for Ukrainian exporters.
In his speech, Yevhenii Harbar emphasized:
“Currently, the ECA mostly insures export credits, since accessible financing for exporters is one of our top priorities. However, insuring export contracts is another key direction. And I would like to announce a new product that we will soon launch, which will be fully automated. This will be online insurance of foreign trade contracts. Essentially, it will be a non-underwriting product, and the insurance decision will be made in the shortest possible time. We understand how important it is now to support our exporters.”
The panel moderator, Volodymyr Vlasiuk, Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Modernization of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, underlined:
“If we want to see a strong and economically powerful country with a scalable economy, we need scalable institutions — as it has been all over the world. It’s impossible to build a perfect institution right away, but the Export Credit Agency is gradually expanding its capacity through cooperation and recapitalization. It is very important to stay on this path and move as fast as possible. Because without such an institution, we will not have exports.”
