Legal protection of financial institutions: AUB held a practical webinar for the banking community

On October 6, the Association of Ukrainian Banks continued its series of practical online webinars with an event on “How to identify and record procedural errors made by the investigation team during a search of a financial institution.” The webinar was attended by over 40 representatives of banking institutions, heads of legal departments, compliance officers, security directors, and risk management specialists.

The main topic of the webinar was the algorithms of actions of financial institutions during investigative actions. The speaker of the event, Denis Ovcharov, president of SB-CLUB and head of the Business Protection practice at ADER HABER law firm, demonstrated high professionalism and shared his practical experience in providing legal support to companies during searches. His presentation combined expert knowledge, analysis of court practice, and real-life examples of business protection.

During the event, typical procedural errors made by investigative teams and ways to correctly record them were discussed. Attention was paid to the role of a lawyer during investigative actions, the protection of digital information, the preparation of personnel for possible searches, and communication strategies that help maintain control over the situation. Participants also considered practical advice on the actions of employees of financial institutions in the event of seizure of property or violation of their rights.

The Association of Ukrainian Banks continues to develop educational initiatives aimed at raising legal awareness among representatives of the financial sector, strengthening their institutional capacities, and introducing modern practices for protecting businesses from undue pressure.
