On September 19–20, 2025, the Association of Ukrainian Banks held an off-site strategic session in the Lviv region with the participation of financial companies that are members of the AUB. The event brought together representatives of leading financial companies and became an important step towards forming a common vision for the development of the financial sector in the near future.
The session was structured as group work, which allowed participants to actively exchange ideas, develop practical solutions, and jointly develop plans for further development. Particular emphasis was placed on shaping the mission, vision, and strategic guidelines of the AUB—the fundamental principles that will determine the unity of action, directions for growth, and the role of the Association in the transformation of the financial sector.
During the intensive course “Collective Leadership as a New Form of Influence in Complex Systems,” participants were able to experience the power of teamwork, where every voice counts and decisions are made through dialogue and a shared vision. This approach made it possible to understand how, in today's financial environment, effectiveness is determined not by individual leaders, but by the ability to act as a single system.
As part of the intensive session “Mission, Vision, Strategic Focus,” the discussion went beyond the usual formulations—participants jointly sought meanings that could truly serve as a guide for the AUB and financial companies in the future. It was an opportunity to look at their work not only through numbers and indicators, but also through its impact on society and the development of the industry.
The final intensive session, “Roles, Areas of Responsibility, Coordination,” became a kind of practical tool for turning ideas into a clear roadmap for action. Participants struck a balance between personal contributions and team tasks, determining how to coordinate interests and ensure effective cooperation. It was here that the approaches developed were reflected in concrete steps.
In addition to productive work, the off-site format of the session gave participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of trust, exchange experiences, and discuss development prospects in a friendly environment. The picturesque Lviv region added positive emotions to the event and inspired bold ideas.
Participants noted not only the high level of organization and the value of the results achieved, but also the special atmosphere of mutual support and inspiration. The strategic session became a source of new energy, motivation, and confidence in the future for its participants.
