Building a financially literate generation: AUB conducts training for Kyiv teachers
From June 16 to 20, 2025, the Association of Ukrainian Banks, in cooperation with the Institute of Postgraduate Education of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, implemented a training course for teachers in the capital in the field of “Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy”.
The aim of the course is to provide teachers with systematic, practical knowledge that they can integrate into the learning process and pass on to their students. Developing financial literacy from an early age is one of the key challenges for Ukraine as it builds a strong economy that is open to entrepreneurship and financially responsible citizenship.
The program covered topics such as personal finance, taxes, digital services, consumer rights, entrepreneurship, investing, and the role of the banking system. The training was conducted by leading experts in the banking sector, representatives of regulatory institutions, economists, and university professors.
Ten full lectures were given as part of the course. Lecturers included AUB President Andriy Dubas, AUB Council Chairman Stanislav Arzhevitin, as well as:

The program pays particular attention to topics such as:
- building financial stability;
- banking and non-banking financial institutions;
- financial transaction security and fraud prevention;
- digital services and cryptocurrency;
- taxation system, pension provision, tax culture;
- choosing a form of entrepreneurial activity and business modeling.
Improving teachers' financial literacy is a strategic investment in the future. Teachers are the first to help children understand how the economy works, how to make responsible financial decisions, and how to build their own business.
