On September 25, 2024, the leading publication "Economic Truth" held a large-scale forum "Ukrainian Export: Is the Window Opening?", the information partner of which was the Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB). Representatives of AUB took an active part in the event, which brought together leaders of the Ukrainian export business, representatives of international financial institutions and government agencies to discuss the state and challenges of foreign trade.

During the forum, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Serhiy Nikolaychuk emphasized the importance of opening sea corridors to support exports and improving exporters' discipline in returning foreign exchange earnings. According to him, these factors contributed to an increase in foreign exchange earnings in the country by 15%, compared to the same period last year. As a result, export earnings in Ukraine reached $32 billion in the first eight months of 2024. This positive effect of the restoration of export routes significantly supports the country's economy and the stability of the foreign exchange market.

Financing of export projects was one of the key issues discussed at the forum. Ukreximbank, a member of AUB, plays an important role in this process. Representatives of the bank took part in a panel discussion, where the possibilities of financing export projects, risk insurance and other financial instruments to support Ukrainian exporters were discussed. Together with the EBRD Managing Director Francis Malizh, representatives of Ukreximbank emphasized the importance of access to financial resources to ensure the stable operation of Ukrainian exporters, especially in the context of global economic challenges.

Financing of export activities is key for entities of foreign economic activity, allowing them to support production, expand business and invest in innovations. AUB members, including Ukreximbank, are actively involved in financing export operations, providing specialized financial products, such as lending under export contracts and risk insurance. This contributes to the development of Ukrainian business in international markets and ensuring the stability of the financial and banking system of Ukraine.
The Association of Ukrainian Banks has paid considerable attention to discussing these issues in the expert banking environment over the past year. Participation in the forum "Ukrainian Export: Is the Window Opening?" emphasizes the importance of cooperation between banks and exporters for the economic recovery of Ukraine and ensuring the stability of the financial system.
