AUB's First Vice President joined the creation of the Alley of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Kyiv Cave Monastery
Vitaliy Romanchukevych, First Vice President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, joined the charity initiative of the Business People's Club and the Ukrainian Lavra Charitable Foundation and took part in the creation of the Alley of the Holy Virgin on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve. The trees were planted as part of the global Greening the Planet initiative.
The event was attended by MPs, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the banking sector, the public sector, and the international Business Woman Club community.
Maksym Ostapenko, Director of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve, Vitaliy Romanchukevych, First Vice President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, Arseniy Pushkarenko, Member of Parliament of Ukraine, and Liudmyla Yenina, Director of the Economic Diplomacy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, delivered welcoming remarks.
This touching event symbolizes our gratitude to Ukrainian women who defend our country with great courage, support the economy, and develop culture and spirituality. The newly created Alley of the Blessed Virgin Mary now has 12 paradise apple trees symbolizing the 12 apostles of Christ.
As part of the Greening the Planet project, 48 million trees were planted in 141 countries. In addition, the Club supported 11 national records aimed at popularizing Ukrainian culture and supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Club members also actively support the WOMAN international women's award, which recognizes outstanding women in leadership and social initiatives.
The creation of the Alley of the Blessed Virgin Mary is another example of how business and the public unite in charitable initiatives, contributing to positive changes in society. Vitaliy Romanchukevych, First Vice President, personally planted sakura number 9, expressing his support and gratitude to everyone who contributed to this important initiative.
