Coverage of AUB's activities in the media
- In September 2024, AUB actively highlighted its position regarding the draft law, which provides for the re-establishment of an increased retrospective income tax for banks. Leading Ukrainian media, such as TV channels 1+1, Espresso, Apostrophe, Channel 5, Suspilne and Ukrainian Radio, paid considerable attention to this issue. AUB stressed that the introduction of the tax "retroactively" carries significant risks for trust in the legal system of Ukraine. Experts of AUB member banks emphasized that the stability of the banking sector in wartime conditions is an important victory for Ukraine, and the introduction of an "extra tax" may negatively affect the further development of the banking system.
- In addition, AUB continued the implementation of its projects to improve financial literacy. Particularly note the collaboration with the Espreso TV channel and the “Economic Truth” program within the framework of special projects dedicated to the financial awareness of the population.
- AUB also continued to actively act as an information partner of conferences, forums and other events that highlighted various current issues in the field of economics, finance and banking.
With respect,
AUB team
