The Association of Ukrainian Banks promotes the entry of Ukrainian business into the EU markets
At the end of April, the Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) hosted a meeting of representatives of Ukrainian banks and Polish bank Pekao S.A. The event brought together representatives of 18 Ukrainian banks. The meeting became a platform for a fruitful discussion on new ways of cooperation and support for Ukrainian business in times of war.
Pekao S.A. Bank presented its Export-Import Financing Program for Ukrainian companies. This initiative is seen as an effective tool for business, strengthening Polish-Ukrainian economic ties and allowing Ukrainian companies to enter the EU markets. In addition, representatives of Pekao S.A. also shared their many years of experience in lending to businesses through letters of credit.
Representatives of Ukrainian banks expressed keen interest in the possibility of cooperation with Pekao S.A. Following the meeting, it was agreed to hold further meetings where the parties will be able to discuss in detail the issues of interest to Ukrainian banks and Ukrainian business.
The participants of the meeting noted that cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian banks will open new horizons for Ukrainian business and contribute to its successful recovery and development in the international market.
The meeting of Ukrainian banks and Polish Pekao S.A., organized by the UBA, was a testament to the strong partnership between Ukraine and Poland, and confirmed the common willingness of both parties to make efforts to support and develop the Ukrainian banking sector and economy.
