This is almost one and a half times more than during the same period last year. This was reported by the open data service OpenDataBot, citing data from the State Judicial Administration.
In total, since 2019, banks have filed more than half a million lawsuits against debtors, with 70% of them coming from PrivatBank, Universal Bank (Mono), and A-Bank.
In 2025, banks filed 100,434 lawsuits, the highest number in seven years. The leaders are Universal Bank/Mono (28,213 lawsuits), A-Bank (22,221), and PrivatBank (20,278). Next, with a noticeable gap, are PUMB (9,225) and Sens Bank (6,831).
Over the seven-year period, PrivatBank has consistently held first place in terms of the number of lawsuits, with 191,353 claims. It is followed by Universal Bank (115,702), A-Bank (60,421), Sens Bank (25,283), and FUIB (21,476).
The largest jump in the number of lawsuits this year was recorded at Tascombank — 3.5 times. Significant growth was also observed at PrivatBank (1.8 times), Kredobank (1.7 times), A-Bank (1.6 times), and Sens Bank (1.6 times).
At the same time, some banks have significantly reduced the number of court cases. The largest decline was seen at Unex Bank (4 times), as well as at Credit Agricole and Ukrgasbank (both twice).
The ranking of the most active banks in filing lawsuits this year has also changed: new participants, Radabank and Bank Alliance, which were not on the previous list, have entered the top. Meanwhile, Akordbank and Unex Bank have dropped out of the top 20.
