The BankID system of the National Bank of Ukraine remains a reliable tool for remote identification of citizens, providing convenient access to government and commercial online services, according to the regulator's press service.
System usage activity
In the third quarter of 2025, 27.7 million successful identifications were made through the NBU's BankID system, which is 17% more than in the previous quarter. The growth was due to an increase in usage by both non-commercial subscribers (+18%) and commercial subscribers (+3%).
Among non-commercial users, government online portals led in terms of the number of identifications:
A tenfold increase in activity in the Mriya educational application was noted separately – 91,000 identifications were recorded in the third quarter.
New participants in the system
New service providers joined the NBU's BankID system in the third quarter of 2025, including:
an on-demand payroll service;
an online platform for renting and selling real estate;
a financial company providing online lending services.
As of the end of September 2025, the NBU's BankID ecosystem included 39 identifier banks and 108 subscriber service providers.
Optimization of the tariff model
In September, the National Bank updated the system's tariff model to make participation in it more attractive for businesses and to stimulate the creation of new digital products.
This allows subscribers to optimize their costs by choosing the most convenient packages according to the volume and type of transactions.
At the same time, identifier banks will maintain their income levels thanks to an increase in the number of transactions after connecting new services and expanding the areas of use of the system.
The update of the NBU's BankID system contributes to the balanced development of the digital identification market in Ukraine and creates additional opportunities for the implementation of innovative online solutions in the public and private sectors.
