We remind you that The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the World Bank have started work on the creation of a roadmap for the creation of the Program for Providing Ukrainians with Affordable Housing. |
"As a result of Russia's war against Ukraine, several million of our citizens lost their homes, and even more citizens left their homes due to the threat to their lives. Therefore, we must create an effective program to provide such people with affordable housing. At most, this program should become a driver both for the growth of the construction industry and for the economic recovery of the Ukrainian economy. Together with colleagues from the World Bank, they started work on the Strategy for Providing Ukrainians with Affordable Housing. We discussed potential models of its implementation, the possibility of attracting the resources of commercial banks, the modernization of the eOsel program and the creation of effective mechanisms for the insurance of the housing fund against war risks. We are grateful to the World Bank team for the provided recommendations, expert expertise and technical support for the implementation of this project," Yulia Svyridenko reported on the results of the meeting. |
