On September 24, Yevhen Garbar, member of the board of the Export Credit Agency of Ukraine, took part in the IV International Export Forum Ukraine Goes Global.
He spoke at the panel discussion “Movement towards the EU: the role of regulatory harmonization in shaping Ukrainian business for global markets,” which became the main platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities of European integration for Ukrainian exporters.
In his speech, Yevhen Garbar emphasized:
"Currently, the ECA mainly insures export credits, as affordable financing for exporters is one of the priorities of our activity. However, insurance of export contracts is another key area. And I would like to announce a new product that we will be launching soon, which will be fully automated. This is online insurance for foreign economic activity contracts. In fact, it will be a non-underwriting product, and insurance decisions will be made in the shortest possible time. We understand how important it is to support our exporters right now."
The panel moderator, Volodymyr Vlasyuk, Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Modernization at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized:
"If we want to see a large country that is economically strong with a scalable economy, we need scalable institutions — as has been the case throughout the world. You cannot create the perfect institution overnight, but the export credit agency is gradually expanding its capabilities through cooperation and recapitalization. It is very important to stay on this path and move forward as quickly as possible. After all, without such an institution, we will have no exports."
