Ukreximbank Presented Financial Solutions for Communities and the Municipal Sector

Ukreximbank Strengthens Cooperation with Communities and Municipal Enterprises

At a roundtable held at the Ternopil Regional State Administration, representatives of the Bank presented lending, leasing, and international financial programs that can become drivers of local infrastructure development.

The event, dedicated to financing the municipal and utility sectors, brought together representatives of Ukreximbank, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), local communities, and international partners.

Ivan Mazhak, Acting Head of the Ternopil Branch of Ukreximbank, showcased tools that can support communities and municipal enterprises. Among them are loans and leasing under the state program “5–7–9%” as well as foreign currency loans with a grant component of up to 40% from the Bank’s partners.

The Bank also presented the catalog of Danmarks Eksport- og Investeringsfond (EIFO) and international solutions within the framework of the EIB project “District Heating of Ukraine — Ukreximbank.”

Semen Puskai, Director of the Department for Medium Business, Municipal and Utility Sector, emphasized that financing municipalities is one of the Bank’s top priorities. This instrument enables infrastructure modernization, enhances the financial independence of communities, and ensures the population has access to critical services.

The key message of the meeting: the development of strong infrastructure is only possible through partnership — between authorities, banks, and international donors.
