Укр Rapid Chess Team Tournament: Winners Among Bank Employees Determined
On May 17, a Team Rapid Chess Tournament among employees of banking institutions was held in Kyiv. The event was organized by the Chess Federation of Ukraine, TASKOMBANK and the Chess Club "Shakhist", the club's press service reports. The Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) acted as the information partner of the tournament.
The tournament provided for a charitable contribution for participation in supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which participants transferred to a special account of the National Bank. Six teams from the banking sector took part in the competition. An individual championship among children of employees of banking institutions was also held.
The tournament was opened by the First Vice-President of the Chess Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Kovalchuk, who appreciated the importance of supporting such initiatives. The participants were also welcomed by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of TASKOMBANK Oleksandr Zayets.
A total of 6 teams took part in the tournament and an Individual Championship among children of employees of banking institutions was held. The tournament was held according to the Swiss system in 7 rounds. Format — rapid chess (10 minutes + 5 seconds per move).
Winners of the team tournament:
- 1st place – the team of TASKOMBANK – First Investment Bank
- 2nd place – the team of TASKOMBANK
- 3rd place – the team of the National Bank of Ukraine – RVS BANK
