On November 25, the National Conference “BUSINESS AND WAR 2025” was held, bringing together key players on the country's economic front: entrepreneurs, appraisers, lawyers, banking institutions, insurance companies, and international organizations. The purpose of the event was to develop a coordinated approach to recording losses, assessing them properly, and preparing documents for obtaining compensation and financing business recovery. More than 200 business leaders and experts participated in the event.
The Association of Ukrainian Banks was represented at the conference by Zoryana Leshko, Head of Small and Medium Business Lending at Sens Bank JSC, and Mykola Alferov, Deputy Director of the SME Department at Ukrgasbank JSC.
Both speakers participated in panel discussions, where they shared practical cases of banks financing business recovery projects and working with clients in areas affected by military operations.

During the discussion, Mykola Alferov presented the programs of JSC “UKRGASBANK” aimed at financing the reconstruction and restoration of affected businesses, supporting entrepreneurs who are preparing documents for compensation mechanisms, and implementing projects to increase business resilience in wartime.
It was emphasized that clear documentation of losses, collection of evidence, and proper preparation of financial documents significantly increase entrepreneurs' chances of receiving compensation and access to financing.
Representatives of the banking community emphasized that successful business recovery requires synergy between entrepreneurs, lawyers, appraisers, and financial institutions. Only a comprehensive approach to document preparation and a transparent compensation mechanism can ensure effective economic recovery.
