President's Report: Protection of Interests and Information Campaign Against Tax Increase
AUB President Andriy Dubas began the meeting with a detailed report on the work of the Association. A special emphasis was placed on AUB's active position in protecting the interests of its members. In particular, the Association opposed the introduction of additional retrospective taxation of banks, which is provided for by draft law 11416-d. The position of the banking community was clearly conveyed through an information campaign that included numerous appearances in the media, appeals to the Verkhovna Rada and international organizations.
AUB resolutely emphasized the inexpediency of this increase, emphasizing its possible negative impact on the stability of the banking system. The active position demonstrated the importance of the Association as the voice of the entire banking community of Ukraine.

AUB's New Project
One of the key areas of AUB's activity this year was the introduction of the "Corporate Governance in Financial Institutions" program. Today, the regulator's requirements for corporate governance in banks are significantly increasing, which requires a high level of training for top managers responsible for managing these institutions. Corporate governance is a special type of management that combines strategic decisions and control over compliance with norms and standards.
The Association of Ukrainian Banks, responding to these needs, launched a program aimed at improving the qualification level of the management team of financial institutions. This initiative will strengthen management competencies, ensuring not only professionalism, but also compliance with modern regulatory requirements.

Documentary film "Da Vinci": strengthening international ties and support
AUB President Andriy Dubas also informed the participants of the meeting about the progress of the charity project - the documentary film "Da Vinci". Charity special screenings of the film have already been held in regional centers of Ukraine and abroad. Today, the film was released in all-Ukrainian distribution, and the film is also shown in the cities of the European Union. This film is an important element of cultural exchange and is aimed at supporting veterans. The project aims to raise awareness among the European audience about Ukraine's resistance to the aggressive war waged by Russia, while strengthening international ties and support.

New faces: the AUB team is getting stronger. The management team of the Association has expanded.
During the event, the Chairman of the Board of AUB Stanislav Arzhevitin proposed the candidacy of Tamara Savoshchenko, who is a member of the Board of AUB and deputy chairman of the board of Ukrgasbank, for the position of deputy chairman of the Board of the Association of Ukrainian Banks. Her rich experience in the banking sector, spanning more than 30 years, and active activity in the management of banking structures confirm her high professionalism. For the past three years, Tamara Savoshchenko has been among the TOP-50 most influential women in the fintech market of Ukraine. The candidacy of Tamara Savoshchenko found unanimous support among the members of the AUB Council.

Introduction of new members: "Oschadbank" and ADELIE Informatique Conseil
The process of expanding the ranks of the Association of Ukrainian Banks deserves special attention. In recent years, the AUB community has been steadily replenished with new members, including systemic banks and fintech companies. This strengthens the reputation of the Association, which is a powerful defender of the interests of banks and financial companies.
During the meeting, the entry of two new participants was officially announced: JSC "Oschadbank" and the French consulting company ADELIE Informatique Conseil, which specializes in IT services for the banking sector. This confirms the authority of AUB not only in Ukraine, but also abroad, opening opportunities for international cooperation.

Awards and results of the meeting
At the end of the meeting, awards were presented for significant contribution to the development of the Association. Council members Volodymyr Dovhal, Vitaliy Romanchukevich and Nadiya Vorobyova received commemorative awards for their professional activities. In addition, the Order "For Commemoration of the Heroes of Ukraine" was awarded to Mykola Tarasovets and Nadia Vorobyova.
Summarizing the meeting, the participants emphasized the importance of further strengthening the banking community, developing strategic directions and attracting new members. Thanks to joint efforts, the Association of Ukrainian Banks is today a driver of development and stability of the financial and banking system of Ukraine.
