Andriy Dubas, President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, spoke about the opportunities for Ukrainians to obtain favourable housing loans, the features of the eHouse programme and new conditions for internally displaced persons and the military in the programme ‘There is a Way Out’ on the TV channel ‘We are Ukraine’.

The program was dedicated to housing lending, especially in times of war. Andriy Dubas, Head of the UOB, emphasized that many Ukrainians have lost their homes or have been renting for years because of the war unleashed by Russia, and the eHouse program helps them take a step towards owning their own home.
He emphasized that the state supports the most vulnerable categories of citizens through preferential mortgage rates: “Military personnel, law enforcement officers, doctors and educators have the opportunity to get a mortgage at 3% per annum.”
New lending conditions for internally displaced persons were also discussed, who can purchase housing built up to 10 years ago. Dubas noted that this is an important step for those who were forced to leave their homes because of the war.
In particular, Andriy Dubas emphasized that loans under the eHouse program have lower interest rates than the projected inflation, which makes them beneficial for citizens. The program is available throughout Ukraine, except for the occupied and frontline areas, and the loan conditions include a down payment of 10% and the possibility to choose housing from developers accredited by the bank.

“This is a really interesting offer for those who want to improve their living conditions, even in a difficult time for the country,” summarized the UBA president.
