Укр Meeting of the Board of the Association of Ukrainian Banks: results of the year and plans for the future
On January 30, the final meeting of the Council of the Association of Ukrainian Banks took place, which was attended by the heads of specialized committees of the Ukrainian Bank, heads of banking institutions, as well as the executive directorate of the Association.
The participants of the meeting summed up the activities of AUB for 2023, noting significant progress in the work of the Association. During the year, AUB intensified its activities within the framework of specialized committees, the number of which increased, which allowed covering a wider range of banking issues. This, in turn, contributed to strengthening the influence of the Association on the process of making official decisions related to the regulation of the banking sector in Ukraine.
One of the key achievements of AUB in 2023 was the strengthening of its role in the information and analytical spheres. The association has also focused its efforts on the consolidation of non-banking financial institutions to solve the pressing problems of the sector.
In addition to its internal activities, AUB actively participated in volunteer and charity projects, providing support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and implementing projects with a patriotic direction.
The international cooperation of the Association with partner non-governmental financial and banking organizations has significantly expanded, which has opened up new prospects for the Ukrainian banking sector in the international arena.
At the meeting, members of the AUB Council approved the report for 2023 and outlined ambitious plans for 2024. The main areas of activity will be strengthening the work of specialized committees of AUB, intensifying cooperation with the National Bank of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers with the aim of improving banking and financial legislation. The association will also focus on the development of lending, promoting the development of the deposit market, the development of insurance and leasing services, as well as strengthening international cooperation.
AUB's efforts in 2024 will be aimed at creating a favorable environment in Ukraine for the development of the banking system in particular and the financial sector in general and their integration into the European financial system. The work of the Association will continue to be focused on preserving and deepening the country's financial stability and economic growth.
