28 травня в Асоціації українських банків відбулася зустріч Президента АУБ Олександра Сугоняка з Директором Департаменту розвитку та фінансового сектору Світового банку п. Фернандо Монтес-Негре. Бесіда пройшла у атмосфері взаєморозуміння. У ній також взяли участь Віце-Президент АУБ  Антон Бутейко та керівники управлінь В. Кучерук і І. Самойлова.

В ході зустрічі Олександр Сугоняко на прохання п. Монтес-Негре ознайомив його із станом та перспективами розвитку банківської системи країни.

Він висвітлив підходи Асоціації до вирішення проблеми капіталізації банківської системи, поліпшення якості управління ризиками, зміцненню стабільності фінансового сектору  України та інші питання, які цікавили високого гостя.

Президент Асоціації підкреслив досягнення банками України значного ступеню прозорості у їх діяльності, зміцненні їх конкурентноздатності, підвищенні якості надання послуг населенню. На його думку, ці аспекти діяльності банків України стають провідними чинниками у приведенні всієї економіки країни до європейських стандартів.

Особливий інтерес у Директора Департаменту Світового банку викликала інформація про конкретні послуги, які надає Асоціація своїм членам.

Співбесідники також обговорили конкретні питання, пов’язані з можливістю розширення участі України у використанні механізмів Світового банку у галузі підготовки банківських працівників.

On May 28 the Association of Ukrainian banks hosted a meeting of Mr. Suhonyako AUB president with Fernando Montes-Nehre Chairman of the Department for development and finance segment of the World Bank. The meeting had the air of mutual understanding. The following officials also partook in the meeting Anton Buteyko Vice president of the AUB and Mr. Kucheruk and Ms. Samoylova directors of the departments.

In the course of the meeting Mr. Suhonyako responding request of Mr. Montes-Nehre depicted him the state and development prospects of the banking system of Ukraine.

He outlined strategies of the Association in resolution problem of capitalization banking system, improvement risk management, strengthening stability of finance segment of Ukraine and other issues interesting to the guest.

President of the Association emphasized the fact that Ukrainian banks had achieved considerable degree of transparency their activity, strengthening their competitiveness, raise liquidity of provision services to the people. To his mind these aspects of activity of the Ukrainian banks have become leading constituent parts in achieving by the whole economy of the state conformity with the European standards.

Chairman of the World Bank was particularly interested in information about services provided by the Association to its members. The interlocutors have also discussed particular issues related to opportunity of broadening Ukraine’s participation in using tools of the World Bank as regards training banking employees.
