We are pleased to announce the continuation of our semi-annual country and bank conferences that had attracted almost 700 attendees over the last few years.
Countries to be covered
This autumn’s conference will be dedicated to the recent developments in the economy and the banking sector of 3 major regions of Central and Eastern Europe:
– South-Eastern Europe (Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania)
– Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan + other CIS countries (Belarus, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan)
– The 8 new EU member countries
Specific features:
Country and bank presentations will be delivered by a distinguished panel of speakers, consisting of representatives of rating agencies, central banks, bank supervisors, independent analysts and BACEE’s staff.
Fresh, concise, standardised data
For each country, the participants will be offered the most recent data on
– political and economic situation, changes during the last 6 months
– condition of the banking system, recent changes
– bank failures, mergers/acquisitions, licences withdrawn
– specific risks characteristic of the given country’s banks
Information will be presented in a standardised way, making comparison between the countries easy.
New: overview of “hot” market segments in CEE. We shall offer special coverage on
– retail banking
– mortgages
– consumer finance
– money transfers
Participation fee
Participation is free for BACEE member banks (up to 2 participants per bank). For those banks, which are not BACEE members there is an admission fee of EUR 1200 per person for the Conference, which also includes sightseeing and conference materials. Participation fees are subject to VAT.
