Yevhen Shulika, Chairman of the Board of ASVIO BANK, at FinYear 2026: on effective solutions and experience in dealing with challenges

“The horizons of business banking in Ukraine. How digital services, open banking, and embedded financial solutions are changing the role of banks in business development” — a panel discussion that brought together four leading bankers and a national retailer at FinYear 2026.

They spoke candidly about the main challenges, such as the pressure of war, cyber threats, and legislative restrictions.

They also discussed the new opportunities opened up by the synergy between banking and fintech. These include the widespread use of AI agents, which are capable of taking on significant volumes of routine operations, both financial and otherwise. The emergence of new business models and forms of cooperation thanks to open banking. The growing number of digital ecosystems with digital services and solutions embedded in the client’s business.

“Open banking, embedded finance, and digital services are no longer trends. They are transforming the role of the bank from a provider of financial resources to a partner that helps make decisions faster than the market changes,” said Yevgen Shulika about the horizons of business banking in Ukraine at FinYear 2026.

Participants agreed on the priority of in-house development because it is
“…faster, more predictable, and cheaper,” and the ASVIO case proves it.
