On February 26, 2026, the Association of Ukrainian Banks, in collaboration with VSchool, organized an offline event on the topic: “Financial monitoring in the context of post-war recovery: transparency, digital typologies of the State Financial Monitoring Service, and effective interaction between participants in the financial monitoring system.”
The offline event brought together more than 40 heads of financial monitoring departments of banks and non-banking institutions to discuss key transformations in the AML/CFT system in the context of military challenges and the future of post-war financing in Ukraine. Participants who were unable to attend in person but wished to take part in the professional discussion also had the opportunity to join the event online.
The discussion focused on the practical aspects of identifying illegal money laundering schemes, countering financial transactions related to corruption crimes, and the state’s readiness for large-scale international reconstruction financing.
Participants paid particular attention to the digital typology of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine for 2025, unified indicators of suspicious participants and financial transactions, and the introduction of new mechanisms for information exchange in accordance with Order No. 322 of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. These steps are aimed at strengthening the risk-based approach, automating processes, and improving the effectiveness of financial monitoring.
The professional dialogue demonstrated the banking community’s readiness to consolidate efforts to ensure the transparency of the financial system, strengthen the trust of international partners, and develop a modern, technological model of financial monitoring in Ukraine.
During the event, all participants had the opportunity to establish direct professional communication, hold face-to-face meetings, and discuss pressing practical issues with each other. This format of live communication proved particularly valuable for exchanging experiences and coordinating approaches in the field of financial monitoring.
Holding such a meeting is in line with Ukraine’s strategic initiatives to intensify international investment dialogue and form a transparent and sustainable financial infrastructure for the country’s economic recovery.
We would like to remind you that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held the first meeting of the International Advisory Group on Investment and Economic Development of Ukraine, which aims to mobilize investment resources and develop priority sectors of the national economy.
